This brief from the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) presents findings from more than 80 interviews with youth-serving organizations’ leaders, workers, and the youth they support. It outlines the behaviors workers and organizations exhibit that help facilitate transformational relationships with young people. The study includes interviews with youth dealing with system involvement, substance abuse, mental health problems, and homelessness, who have made major improvements in their lives. CSSP conducted this study in collaboration with the Dartington Social Research Unit in the UK. The full report is available on the CSSP website.
